Description
Phoenix roebelenii commonly called pygmy date palm, miniature date palm or just roebelenii. It is a species of date palm native to southeastern Asia, from southwestern China, northern Laos and northern Vietnam. It is a slow-growing slender tree growing to up to 2–3 metres. The leaves are 60–120 cm. Robelenii is not totally hardy so needs to be brought into a conservatory in the winter. Lovely as an indoor plant.
