Older, established plants produce 10 to 12 foot tall flowers stalks annually. Mexican grass tree is native to Mexico, and is hardy to 15° F. It is adapted to exposures ranging from full sun to shade, provided that drainage is adequate. Mexican grass tree makes an excellent container plant.
